Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASR Nederland NV (AS: ASRNL ), which rose 2.55% or 1.24 points to trade at 49.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS: AD ) added 2.24% or 0.76 points to end at 34.70 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ) was up 2.13% or 0.38 points to 18.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ), which fell 2.89% or 16.40 points to trade at 550.40 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS: BESI ) declined 2.52% or 2.95 points to end at 114.15 and Adyen NV (AS: ADYEN ) was down 2.42% or 42.80 points to 1,726.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 56 to 42 and 11 ended unchanged.

Shares in ASR Nederland NV (AS: ASRNL ) rose to all time highs; rising 2.55% or 1.24 to 49.94. Shares in ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.13% or 0.38 to 18.00.

The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.57% or 1.82 to $68.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.54% or 1.89 to hit $72.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.92% or 56.90 to trade at $2,906.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 106.42.
