Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 2.22%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 2.22%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC: NCH ), which rose 8.72% or 9,780.00 points to trade at 122,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mineros SA (BVC: MAS ) added 7.55% or 370.00 points to end at 5,270.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ) was up 4.71% or 1,860.00 points to 41,360.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Etb (BVC: ETB ), which fell 3.85% or 2.00 points to trade at 50.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) declined 1.40% or 540.00 points to end at 37,960.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ) was down 0.70% or 15.00 points to 2,115.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Etb (BVC: ETB ) fell to all time lows; losing 3.85% or 2.00 to 50.00.

US coffee C for May delivery was down 1.62% or 6.45 to $392.10 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.23% or 18.00 to hit $8,013.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 2.00 to trade at $3,056.30 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was unchanged 0.00% to 4,131.53, while BRL/COP unchanged 0.00% to 720.34.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 104.20.
