Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining , Oil & Gas and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 2.04% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were GDR ROS AGRO PLC ORD SHS (MCX: AGRODR ), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 1,083.80 at the close. Meanwhile, TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX: TATN_p ) fell 0.43% or 2.80 points to end at 649.00 and NOVATEK PJSC (MCX: NVTK ) was down 0.65% or 8.40 points to 1,278.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX: CBOM ), which fell 5.55% or 0.55 points to trade at 9.33 at the close. Unipro PJSC (MCX: UPRO ) declined 4.99% or 0.10 points to end at 1.83 and T Tekhnologii MKPAO (MCX: T ) was down 4.53% or 161.00 points to 3,396.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 230 to 16 and 7 ended unchanged.

The Russian Volatility Index – RVI , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 1.39% to 42.34.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.54% or 46.90 to $3,099.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.37% or 0.26 to hit $69.91 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $73.36 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.01% to 84.50, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 91.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 103.92.
